ROAD REPORT:
On Saturday night your Rockhounds were on their first road trip of the season to Sturgeon Falls to play the West Nipissing Lynx.

The first period was fast paced and a rough affair. Bancroft could not capitalize on numerous scoring chances. Both teams traded scoring chances throughout with Popov making 4 or 5 really big saves. As the period war on the bigger Lynn started their intimidation tactics but could not get anything on the scoreboard.

Shots on net were 24-14 in favour of the Lynx.

The second period the claws came out sending 2 Rockhounds off the ice with injuries.

The period was all West Nipissing actually tying in shots 15-15 but the Lynx lighting up the scoreboard with 5 unanswered goals, 2 power play, 1 even strength and to add insult to our misery 2 short handed goals.

Addison Zeich started the third period in net. The Rockhounds dug deep for the third period and should grit against the bigger and much older Lynx. The third was marred with many penalties. Each team scored a goal with David Gajdac scoring an unassisted goal mid way through the period.

Final shots were 55-40 favouring the Lynx. They tied the Lynx on the scoreboard for the first and third period.

Final score 6-1
