Alumni Update: Anton Ygnwe Signs Pro

The newest addition to the Rattler Alumni list; Anton Ygnwe has signed a professional contract with Osby IK, Division 2 Sweden.
Anton joined the Rattlers in the 2010-2011 season for their playoff push. The offensively gifted defensemen recorded a total of 22 points (9g, 13a) in 25 contests. Anton attended a CHL team’s training camp this offseason, but opted to return to Sweden. Ygnwe joins ex-rattlers Andreas Persson, Martin Bjork and David Vallin play in the Division 2 Sweden league.

The former league point leader, Artem Podshendyalov, has re-signed with the CHL’s Fort Wayne Komets. The Russian forward made quite an impact in his rookie campaign with the Columbus Blue Jacket affiliate. Artem recorded 18 points (8g, 10a) in 32 games during his first professional season.
From last year's squad; Rudolfs Pursis has made the jump to the MHL; the Russian equivalent of the OHL. Jonathan Landgren has signed proin Division 1 Sweden. Chris Eaden represented team New Zeland at the IIHF World Championships this past summer. Finally, Andreas Persson and David Vallin have also been skating in the Division 2 Sweden league.
Matis Matus has moved on to the Michigan Warriors of the NAHL; Matis has already recorded a goal and assist with the club this season.
Furthermore, Former Rattlers Mack Swartz, Brad Schueler, and Dimitri Sentsov have returned to their respected NCAA clubs for another season of play.
