RATTLERS TAKE DOWN FIRST PLACE TOTTENHAM

At the BWG Leisure Centre in Bradford, Ontario, the first place Greater Metro Hockey League’s Tottenham Steam visited the Bradford Rattlers on January 11th. In 2014 – 2015 season head to head record, the Steam leads the Rattlers with four wins to two heading into Sunday’s game. Tottenham has scored Bradford 28 – 19 to the six games so far this season.
Scoring the lone goal in the first period was Tottenham’s Dalton Anderson sinking his 12th of the season to give the Steam a 1 – 0 lead at 9:17 of the period with helpers from Ferdinando Colella and Braden Kavaratzis. Bradford’s Mikko Lindbom of the Rattlers evened the game 1 – 1 at 3:27 of the second with assists from Gustav Larsson and Peter Kumlin.
Five minutes later, Rattler Austin Grawburger scored the goal ahead goal at 8:27 of the second with contributors from Oscar Lande and Joshua Willebborg of Bradford. On a Bradford power play, Oscar Lande found the back of the Steam’s net to give the Rattlers a 3 – 1 lead at 15:39 of the second period. Willenborg and Kenneth Lindell assisted on Lande goal. Sinking his second of the game at 5:24 of the final period Oscar Lande added to the Rattlers lead to bring the score to 4 – 1 with help from Duncan Cameron and Rasmus Brunnberg.
Tottenham’s Brandon Gaudette found the back of Bradford’s net at 10:09 of the third for his 30th of the season with assists from Colella and Stephan Brozovsky. Sinking his second of the game was the Steam’s Dalton Anderson with a pass from Tottenham’s David Savery. Handing the Steam their second straight loss in two evenings, the Rattlers scored their fifth goal of the game with 1:29 left in the third with a goal from Sebastian Karlsson-Hoglund. Rasmus Brunnberg and Oscar Lande had the helpers on Karlsson-Hoglund’s goal.
The Rattlers will be back in Bradford on Sunday January 18th when they take to the ice at 7:30 p.m against the Temiscaming Titans in GMHL action.
