(Bradford, ON; January 28, 2013)

With three more victories this weekend, the Bradford Rattlers have now extended their undefeated win streak to an unbelievable 34 games. The Rattlers handed the Bulls a 9-6 beat down, the Rama Aces a 9-4 defeat and the Toronto Moose a 9-2 loss.

Against the Bulls, the Rattlers opened the game with four goals in the first period and never looked back. A frustrated Bulls squad resorted to fighting; Rattler Lukas Sundberg squared up against Bull Justin Tucker towards the end of the first. Viliam Knap led the way with a three point night while Conor Smith scored two goals. Metz picked up the victory in goal in the 9-6 win.

On Friday, the Rattlers traveled to Rama to take on the Aces. Bradford outshot the Aces 56-45 on route to their 33rd victory on the season. Conor Smith and Illes Gallo each had dominate performances, as both are in the hunt for the league scoring title. Smith had five points on the night and Gallo had four of his own. Also notable, Andreas Gurfeldt had four helpers to take over the league lead in assists.

The home game this weekend saw the Toronto Moose come to the BWG. Despite being down 2-1 after the first period, two goals in under 36 seconds to open the second quickly dictated the game. Gallo had another hat trick and Tim Philley scored his third on the season to take the game 9-2.

Looking at the league wide leader boards, Rattler players are found leading every statistical category, excluding PIM's:

- Illes Gallo is leading the league in points with 94, Conor Smith and Andreas Gurfeldt are tied for third in league scoring each with 83.

- Conor Smith leads the league with 47 goals, Gallo sits third with 44.

- Andreas Gurfeldt leads the league with 63 assists, Andreas Norrby is second in the league with 54 helpers. Norrby is also leading all defensemen in scoring.

- Alfred Metz has the lowest GAA at 1.96 and the highest save percentage at .938. John Loparco sits second in both these categories.

- LoParco is leading the GMHL in wins with 17 and shutouts with 3.

Not to mention, the undefeated Bradford Rattlers in first place with a 34-0-0 record.

Bradford looks to continue the outstanding season next Sunday against the Bobcaygeon Bucks. This is Bradford's only game on the weekend. Puck drop will be 7:30PM at the BWG.
