VIGAR COMMITS TO NCAA D3

(Bradford, ON, June 15, 2017)

Hard-nosed defenceman Kyle Vigar is moving on from the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League's Bradford Rattlers to play for the Neumann University Knights. Neumann competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division 3 level.

The 1996 birth-year hails from Delhi, Ontario, spending two years with the Rattlers organization.

Through two season with the Jr. A Rattlers, Vigar posted 74 games, 14 goals and 42 points for the club.

The road to NCAA Hockey was not easy for Kyle, who had spent 2 season with a struggling Jr. C team before being scouted to the Rattlers organization.

The summer before signing with the Rattlers, Vigar had quit the game of hockey, thinking his career and dream of playing NCAA hockey was over.

"I had a rough junior career until I got the opportunity to come play for the Rattlers and it kind of turned everything around for me," said Kyle, "I enjoyed the time I was up there and everything the organization did for me these past two years."

Kyle continued to say "I was pretty much done hockey before Sean (Werth), gave me the opportunity  to play for the Rattlers. Without that, I would never of had this chance to play college hockey which is just amazing."
