RATTLERS SPLIT WEEKEND
(Bradford, ON; September 30, 2013)

The Bradford Rattlers split the past weekend of play with one win and one loss. First was a 4-1 victory over the Alliston Coyotes, followed by a 5-1 defeat by the hands of the South Muskoka Shield yesterday evening.

The road game in Alliston took place last Thursday, September 26th. It marked the debut of the Rattlers most recent acquisition Dustin Jesseau. Jesseau is a journeymen junior player, playing as high as Major Junior in the QMJHL. He lived up to the hype notching three points (1g, 2a) in his debut leading the Rattlers to a 4-1 victory. Captain Dino Gombar scored two goals in the game and Filip Andreason notched a single. Kaelan Leblanc got the win between the pipes.

Bradford returned home for their usual Sunday home game yesterday (Sep. 29). They were playing host to the South Muskoka Shield. The rivalry between these two clubs is the oldest in the league. The game was broadcasted live over www.livestream.com with full pregame coverage on ‘Inside the GMHL’. The Shield got the better of the rivalry in the match, beating Bradford 5-1. The lone Rattler goal was scored by Swedish import Johan Beatty.

Bradford will look to bounce back next week with a game against the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks. The game takes place next Sunday at the BWG Leisure Centre in Bradford with a 7:30PM puckdrop. Fans who are unable to make it in person can tune into www.livestream.com/bradfordrattlers and see full coverage of the game.
