RATTLERS RETURN TO ACTION
(Bradford, ON; October 21, 2013)

The Bradford Rattlers returned to the ice this weekend, after an extended thanksgiving break. Bradford didn't miss a beat on Friday (Oct. 18) when they stomped the Mattawa Voyageurs 9-3 final. Back at home Sunday (Oct. 20), Bradford came up short against their rival Temiscaming Titans, 4-3.
Bradford made a huge trade through the break. General Manager Johan Lundskog was able to make a deal with the Temiscaming Titans to re-aquire the rights of MVP forward Illes Gallo. Gallo has put up pack-to-back 100 point season and was one of the star players in last year's Russell Cup Championship. Also coming in the deal is sixth year GMHL veteran F D.J. Tahbazian. Tahbazian had a career year in 2011-12 when he scored 90 points (32-58-90). Going the other way in the deal was the playing rights of D Brandon Scott.
The revamped Rattlers line up was in Mattawa Friday, and as mentioned defeated the Voyageurs 9-3. Gallo let everyone know he hasn't missed a step, scoring six points in the game. Dustin Jesseau had three goals and six points aswell while Glen Bates got the victory in goal. Willenborg, Popovich, Teglia and Beatty each notched singles in the victory.
At home on Sunday, the Rattlers fell 4-3 to the Temiscaming Titans. It was a rematch of last year's Russell Cup final. The game was extremely close and could of swung either way. Temiscaming's Evan Sutton scored one on Rattler goalie Nyfeller with 8 minutes remaining in the third to give his team the lead and the win. DJ Tahbazian had two goals in his debut playing on a line with Illes Gallo and Dustin Jesseau. Morang Pagni also scored.
Bradford will hopefully rebound next weekend. Next Sunday is a home game against the Bobcaygeon Bucks, with a 7:30PM puck drop at the BWG. This game will also be streamed over livestream.com.
