Rattlers Drop Game One to Wave
(Bradford, ON; February 28th, 2012)
By: Sean Werth

It looks like the Bradford Rattlers won’t be gliding by anyone in this years’ playoffs. Bradford stumbled into their first playoff game, falling 4-3 to the Lefroy Wave. Bradford received a bye past the first round of playoffs, directly into the quarter finals.

Bradford was unable to capitalize on seven straight power play opportunities, which ultimately led to the loss. Maillard, Haga and Buwalda each recorded to points in the match, while Sutherland stood between the pipes for Bradford.

The Rattlers have not won the Russell Cup since the 2007-2008 season.

The series continues on Friday, when the Rattlers play in Lefroy. After such, the Rattlers will return home for a Sunday, March 4th game at the BWG Leisure centre. Puck drop will be at 7:30pm. For full series details, please see www.gmhl.net
