BACON ACCEPTS DI SCHOLARSHIP TO MERCYHURST

The Bradford Rattlers organization is very pleased to confirm that Spencer Bacon has committed to Mercyhurst College in the NCAA. The Mercyhurst Lakers confirmed the commitment earlier last week.
Bacon is a goaltender from Banff, Alberta. Spencer played in 23 games, serving as the back-up goaltender while with the Rattlers. In 13 starts, Spencer went 8-2-0 with a 3.21GAA and one shutout. He stands 6’5” weighing in at 210lbs.
Bacon brings the number of NCAA commitments to over just the last 6 seasons. Several more players have NCAA offers they are considering, which will be posted soon.
On another note, the Rattlers organization will be welcoming a NHL scout to training camp next Monday. The NHL team will be scouting a Rattler from last season at the World Hockey Centre training camp. More news about this will be posted shortly.
