(Bradford, ON; September 09, 2013)

The Bradford Rattlers have dropped the puck on the 2013/14 regular season with the goal of repeating as Russell Cup Champions. Bradford got off to a great start winning their first two contests.

Newly hired Head Coach Al Sims stood behind the bench for both contests. He was interviewed on the weekly pregame show 'Inside the GMHL' which is archived on the Rattlers official broadcaster Livestream.com.

Bradford opened the season on the road against the expansion Halton Ravens. The Rattlers gave them a rude welcoming to the GMHL defeating them 6-1. Cameron Anderson scored two goals and added one assist in the contest while Swiss goaltender Dominic Nyffeler picked up the win in goal and was also the first star.

This past Sunday the Rattlers opened their home arena against the cross-town rival Bradford Bulls. Last season, the Rattlers defeated the Bulls in all seven contests. In this year's first meet-up, the Rattlers were once again victorious defeating the Bulls 4-3 in overtime. Goaltender Nyffeler was named first star of the game again while Cody Popovich had two goals of his own to earn the victory.

The Rattlers regular season win streak now stands at 48 games.

Bradford will begin looking ahead to next week's game against the Toronto Attack. The game takes place on the usual home time and place next week: Sunday September 15th with pregame coverage beginning at 7:00PM. The game will be broadcasted over www.livestream.com!
