The Bradford Rattlers are pleased to announce two more signings for the 2012-13 season. The Rattlers have also made a trade with the South Muskoka Shield to acquire Tanner Swift and Colby Jordan.
The Bradford Rattlers are excited to confirm the signing of Aaron Scott for the 2012-2013 season. Aaron has spent parts of the last two seasons playing juniors in the OHL and NOJHL. The 6’2”, ’92 born forward hails from Mount Albert, Ontario. Scott played his minor hockey for the Toronto Titans AAA (GTHL), before moving north and playing for Sudbury’s OHL and NOJHL squads. Aaron is the younger brother of former Rattler Captain Will Scott. Will played three years in the NCAA for Elmira and Morrisville State College after graduating from the Rattlers program.
Bradford’s 5th round selection in the 2012 GMHL Entry Draft Cody Bateman has also officially signed for the upcoming season. Cody will be joining the Rattlers after spending most of his minor hockey at the AA level. The Kitchener native will benefit from spending time in Bradford’s program in his rookie junior season.
Over the weekend, Bradford also made a trade with the South Muskoka Shield to acquire Tanner Swift and Colby Jordan.
Swift was the starting goaltender for the Shield, compiling a 17-4-0 record over 24 games last season. He posted a 3.13 GAA and .893 save% while notching one shutout. Swift began his junior career playing Junior C before moving up to the Shield for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. The Canadian born goaltender spent last summer training at the Bradford Rattlers affiliate, the World Hockey Centre.
Forward Colby Jordan has also been acquired by the Bradford Rattlers. The Huntsville, Ontario native was able to record 15 points (6g, 9a) and 69 PIMs in 28 contests last year. Jordan stands 5’10”, 165lbs and is a ’93 birth year.
The organization would like to officially welcome these players to our program. As the Rattlers continue to put together what looks to be the strongest squad in team history, these players will no doubt contribute.
