STAR D MCLEAN SIGNS WITH RATTLERS

(Bradford, ON, Aug 8, 2017)

The Bradford Rattlers have added a huge piece to the blue line for the upcoming season. Terrance McLean has chosen to accept the Rattlers offer and will be joining the club next season. McLean, 19, is a three year junior veteran, spending time in the MJHL, EHL, SIJHL and CCHL2.

The 6'2", 210lbs physical defenseman is expected to log big minutes on the blue line this year.

Terrance is a product of the prestigious Banff Academy, hailing from Nunavut, Canada.

His 2015/16 campaign was split between the MJHL and SIJHL. Last year, he started in the EHL, playing for the Boston Jr. Rangers before joining the Ottawa West Golden Knights in the CCHL2 for a deep playoff run.

McLean has suited up in over 120 junior games and will bring leadership to the dressing room.

General Manager Sean Werth commented on the signing: "McLean is a strong personality and brings a ton of energy to the rink every day. If we can keep him focused, he will be a force and potential NCAA athlete for us," said Werth, "we have been looking to sign Terrance for years and I'm happy to have him in a Rattlers uniform this fall."

McLean has been training with Werth since he was 15 years of age.
