Sean Werth

The Bradford Rattlers have extended their winning streak to an astonishing 15 games undefeated with two victories this weekend. On Saturday, a tough match against the Powasson Eagles forced Bradford to the extra frame, but the Rattlers eventually pulled through with a 4-3 victory. Last Sunday’s home game against the struggling Mattawa Voyageurs saw Bradford crush the 2nd year club by a score of 8-2.

An unexpected challenging game in Powasson opened the Rattlers weekend. Despite outshooting the Eagles 53-3, the Rattlers still had to go into overtime to earn the 4-3 victory. Jonathan LoParco got the start in goal, turning away 35 shots and earning second star of the game while GMHL veteran Illes Gallo scored his 14th goal of the season to win the game in overtime.

The next night saw the Mattawa Voyeguers make their way to Bradford to take on the Rattlers. Bradford handed Mattawa a 8-2 defeat, led by veterans Andreas Norrby and Illes Gallo who each scored four points on the night. Metz got the start in goal for Bradford. Other goal scorers included: Gombar, Gurfeldt, Smith, Cameron, Scott and Lukas Sundberg who notched his first goal in a Rattlers uniform.
