Bradford Dominates in Weekend Action

The Bradford Rattlers extended their win-streak to three games after taking down a pair of the league's best in convincing fashion this weekend. The Rattlers dominated the third place South Muskoka Shield before taking down the Halton Ravens at home Sunday.

Friday, the Bradford Rattlers hit the road to Muskoka to take on the Shield. It was a rare instance where the perennial powerhouse Rattlers were a underdog entering the match. However, Bradford managed to dominate the Shield, winning 4-1 final and outshooting the opponent 64-18. Mike Masucci continues to show an outstanding amount of compete level for the Rattlers. The 17 year old began the season as the club's fourth strong goaltender, but his intense and passionate presence in the goal has propelled him into a starting role. Mike was the second star of the game versus the Shield. Rattlers goal scorers this game included: Gombar, Grawbarger, Anderson and Vennstrom.

Bradford continued their strong play at home yesterday evening when they hosted the Halton Ravens. The Rattlers had a huge four goal second period to take the match 5-2 final. Masucci played strong between the pipes, making 33 saves and was named first star of the game. Illes Gallo had three points (1g, 2a) while Captain Dino Gombar had two goals of his own. Anderson and Bateman also scored.

Bradford has a handful of games in-hand looking towards the final stretch of the season. Next up for Bradford has a road game in Rama this Friday but return home on Sunday to take on the Toronto Predators. The game takes place on Sunday (Jan 19) with 7:00 pregame coverage at the BWG Leisure Centre.
