The Bradford Rattlers would like to welcome Ron George to the organization. Earlier this week, Bradford made a trade to acquire Ron from the South Muskoka Shield in exchange for the rights to Tanner Swift and Colby Jordan.

George is a 5’7”, 175lbs journeyman junior hockey veteran. The Rattlers will be Ron’s 5th junior team in the last five seasons. George has been playing at the junior A level since 2008; spending time in the OJHL, CCHL, NOJHL and GMHL. He skated last season with the North Bay Trappers in the NOJHL where he scored 27 points and 82 PIMs.

George last suited up with the South Muskoka Shield in the GMHL where he scored just under a point a game back in the 2010-11 season.

George comes from a hockey family. His older brother Corey was drafted into the OHL with the Brampton Battalion. His other brother Kevin plays CIS hockey for the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

General Manager Johan Lundskog confirmed that Ron will be in the line-up for this Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
