BRADFORD BEATS UP ON BOBCAYGEON

The Bradford Rattlers beat up on the Bobcaygeon Bucks in their lone game this weekend. The Bucks came down to the BWG to be featured on the weekly ‘Inside the GMHL’ broadcast, but were defeated 9-0 at the hands of the Rattlers.
Jonathon LoParco got the start in goal for Bradford, turning away all 25 shots for his second shutout of the year. Bradford was able to throw 52 shots on the Bobcaygeon net. Eight different players scored for the Rattlers; with Forslund, Gombar, Smith, Gallo, A. Virtanen (2), Gurfeldt and Cameron all finding the score sheet. Lukas Sundberg dropped the gloves in the match as well.
The win improves Bradford’s undeafeated streak to a perfect 16 games. Also of note, The Rattlers will be participating in this years GMHL College Showcase Classic. This is a three day tounrnmatent from December 4-6 that has become a staple in the leagues success moving players onto college. Every year, College recruiters come out to scout the GMHL’s talent and offer spots for their next year’s squads. Noteably, last years Travis White and Jonotan Nilsson have now moved onto NCAA hockey with help from this showcase.
Bradfords regular season continues next weekend with two games. First is a game in Lefroy on the Friday to take on the struggling Wave. This will be followed by a home game against the defending Russell Cup champion Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks. The puck will drop at 7:30pm with pregame coverage beginning at 7:00.
