Barrette was part of a five Rattlers invited for a private skate earlier in the season. After touring the facility and considering his other College options, Barrette has commited to Adrian.

Over three seasons with the Rattlers, Barrette has posted 31 points (15g, 16a) in 98 games. The penalty kill specialist has been a staple in the core of the Bradford lineup for the past three seasons, with a reputation of scoring clutch goals. He is an Assistant Captain of the Rattlers.
