BACON ACCEPTS DI SCHOLARSHIP TO MERCYHURST

The Bradford Rattlers organization is very pleased to confirm that Spencer Bacon has committed to Mercyhurst College in the NCAA. The Mercyhurst Lakers are a Division 1 school and confirmed the commitment earlier last week.
Bacon is a goaltender from Banff, Alberta. Spencer played in 23 games, serving as the back-up goaltender while with the Rattlers. In 13 starts, Spencer went 8-2-0 with a 3.21GAA and one shutout. He stands 6’5” weighing in at 210lbs.
Bacon brings the number of NCAA commitments to 15 in just the last 6 seasons. Several players from last years squad have NCAA offers they are considering which will be posted soon.
On another note, the Rattlers organization will be welcoming a NHL scout to training camp next Monday. The NHL team is scouting a Rattler from last season at the World Hockey Centre training camp. More news about this will be posted shortly.
