Season Schedule Announced; Blohm Signs Contract
(Bradford, Ont. Sept 1, 2011)
The GMHL 2011-2012 season opens on Sept. 9th; where the Bradford Rattlers will kick it off facing the South Muskoka Shield. The Rattler’s will travel to face their rivals in South Muskoka for an 8:00pm puck drop.
For the second season in a row, South Muskoka was responsible for ending Bradford’s playoff run. South Muskoka and Bradford last faced in the semi-finals of the Russell Cup playoffs. The series went the distance, resulting in the Shield knocking the Rattlers out in game 7.
Bradford seeks revenge as the teams will square up six times this season. In six regular season contests last season, the Rattlers were outscored 32 to 28, winning just two of the six games. Lifetime head-to-head, Bradford holds a 15-9-0 record against Muskoka.
The first home game of the season is quickly approaching. On Sunday Sept. 11th, the Toronto Canada Moose will make the trip up to Bradford. Game start time is 7:30pm, at Bob Fallis Sports Centre.
