TRADE: NOJHL STAR MITSIONIS TO RATTLERS
(Bradford, ON, June 2, 2017)
The Bradford Rattlers have completed a trade with the Kingsville Kings to bring star NOJHL forward Alex Mitsionis to the Rattlers for the 2017-18 season. Mitsionis was an offensive powerhouse in the Northern Jr. A hockey league, posting 42 points in 48 games last season.
Mitsionis is a 21 year old, native to Avon, Ohio entering his fourth season of juniors with the Rattlers.
A product of the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks U18 AAA minor hockey system, Mitsionis has had success at all levels of junior hockey.
In his rookie junior season with the Boston Jr. Rangers in the USA, he was an Assistant Captain to a championship winning club and 1st round draft pick to a US based junior league.
Alex has gone on to dominate the NOJHL, playing first line minutes for the Iroquois Falls Eskimos in the NOJHL and pointing 42 points in 48 games.
The Kingsville Kings selected Alex in the 2016 Entry Draft, 3rd round.
Alex has been playing on the Rattlers AAA Prospect Touring team this summer, participating in the Bauer Niagara Falls Challenge and the Michigan Pre Draft Showcase. He is currently playing professional hockey in New Zealand during this off-season.
