2016-17 Season Outlook

The Bradford Rattlers have ended their current season campaign after falling to the Meaford Knights in the first round of the 2016 Russell Cup Playoffs. It was a hard fought series and does not do justice to the successful season the Rattlers organization had this year.
The Rattlers had some of the elite young talents in the GMHL playing for the club. Despite being the fourth youngest team in the league, the young Rattlers claimed third place in the GMHL's Central Division with a record of 29-11-2.
The club will be announcing several off-season player advancements in the coming months. Players on this year's team have received interest from NCAA D3 schools, Minor Pro & Major Junior. As their commitments become confirmed they will be made public.
Looking forward to the 2016-2017 season, the Rattlers are pleased to be carrying forward the same front office with a few additions. The club is excited to have General Manager Sean Werth back heading the organization. His strong network in Europe & North America is a huge asset to the organization, both bringing talented players to the club and helping them advance to higher levels of hockey. During the off-season, Werth also serves as the General Manager of the EliteProspects.com Showcase Touring Team. Returning behind the bench is Head Coach Matt Hamilton. Hamilton is a former College & minor Pro player who took the bench boss duties in August, 2015. Matt was a runner up for Coach of the Year in the GMHL with a intense personality known for getting the most out of the players.
Joining the management team is Bill Fines. Fines was a scout with the club before a promotion to Asst. GM. Fines has a strong background in the game with ties to the USA.
Management has been hard at work for next season. A strong core of returning players will comprise the bulk of the lineup. The 'AAA Prospect Team' will be attending five showcase tournaments through April, May & June which will serve as private tryouts for players.
