Alliston, Ontario
October 11, 2013
The Alliston Coyotes played a pair of games this week, dropping one to the Bradford Bulls on Wednesday but defeating the Toronto Predators yesterday (Oct 10) evening. The Coyotes remain in the heat of things at 5-5-0 on the season.
Wednesday the Alliston Coyotes traveled to Bradford to take on the Bradford Bulls. The Bulls are a favorite to compete for this year’s Russell Cup. Alliston gave them all they could handle, but fell 4-2 final. Newly acquired goaltender Anton Todykov played very strong in goal making 59 saves and being named first star despite the losing effort. Alliston was actually leading Bradford 2-1 heading into the third period, but three unanswered goals spelled the demise for Alliston. Zub and Kononov scored for the Coyotes.
Looking to rebound from the loss, Alliston played host to the Toronto Predators. Alliston bounced back in a big way picking up a 7-1 victory. Gordy Bonnel scored two goals and added an assist while Captain Chris Brown had four assists. Nicolas Lachance picked up his third victory on the season.
Alliston will strive to break over the .500 level with two games next week. Thursday, October 17th the Coyotes will host the Bracebridge Phantoms, 7:30PM puck drop at the New Tecumseth R.C. This is followed by a road game in Bobcaygeon the following evening.
Come on out and show your support for your Alliston Coyotes next Thursday!
