PLAYOFFS: SERIES TIED AT 1-1

The Alliston Coyotes came through with a huge victory, upsetting the Tottenham Steam to tie the first round of the Russell Cup series at 1-1.

The first round is a best of five series.

Tottenham is the top seed in the South and in the entire 22 team GMHL.

Alliston won the game yesterday evening 6-3 over Tottenham on home ice. Goal scorers on the night included: Chegrintcev, Russu, Rossel, Svensson, Sury and Way.

The organization credits a combination of the new defensive system implemented and the impressive play of goaltender Donald Oldreive.

The remaining schedule looks like this -- with a Game #5 to be announced if necessary.
Game #3: Sat. Feb 21, Tottenham 7:30pm
Game #4: Tue. Feb 24, Alliston 9:00pm
