WIN OVER JACKS; LOSS TO HUSKIES

The Coyotes have split the first weekend of October with a victory and loss. The Coyotes hosted the Seguin Huskies at home on Thursday, dropping the match 5-1. This was followed by an impressive victory over the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks 9-2 yesterday evening.
Alliston threw 42 shots at the Seguin net, but could only get the one goal past the Huskies goalie. Ivan Tamaskovic was the only goal scorer in the first period. Anton Todykov got his first start as a Coyote. Chris Brown and Vladislav Sokolov assisted on the marker. 5-1 Seguin was the final score.
The next night Alliston redeemed themselves with a huge 9-2 win over the Lumberjacks. Ivan Tamaskovic had a huge night was three goals being named second star of the game. Chris Brown added two of his own gohals for a three point night. Goalie Nicolas Lachance got the victory in goal turning away 33 shots. Other scorers for the Coyotes included: Bonnel (2), Sedivy and Kulashbekov.
Gordy Bonnels two goals has kept him in the running for this year’s goal scoring title. He sits second the league with 15 goals in 8 games. He only trails Bracebrdige’s Tomi Taavitsainen at 18 goals.
Alliston will be in tough with a pair of games next week. First is a game against the first place Bradford Bulls on Wednesday (Oct. 9) in Bradford. This is followed by the Coyotes regular Thursday home game (Oct. 10), 7:30 puck drop. This will be played against the expansion Toronto Predators.
