September 13, 2013
The Alliston Coyotes showed strong in their first game as a franchise yesterday (Sept. 12) evening. The Coyotes played host to the Toronto Attack, outshooting them 50-48 but fell short on the score sheet losing 4-2.
Slovakian goaltender Bruno Novotny started the game for Alliston making 44 saves and was also named second star of the match. The game also marked Head Coach Joe Murphy's first game behind the bench in the GMHL.
The Coyotes will be back at it next week with two games. First, Alliston hits the road to play the Bradford Bulls next Wednesday (Sept. 18) before returning home for a game Thursday (Sept. 19) against the Knights of Meaford. Puck drop for that game will be 7:30PM, fans are encouraged to come out and show your support!
