The Alliston Coyotes high powered offence is dominating the GMHL. In the past three games, Alliston has scored 42 goals to improve to a 9-1-0 record. The latest victory was a solid 14-2 game against the Shelburne Sharks.
Fred Sury lead the way with an impressive seven point evening to be the first star of the game. Forward Austin Cunningham had six points in the game of his own with two goals and four assists. Lukas Sadlon had the victory in goal making 30 saves.
Also scoring in the match included: Zhizhenkov (2), Bonnel (2), Chegrintcev, Rossell (2), Ivanov and Niklasson.
While Alliston leads the Central Division in first place, leading the entire GMHL in points is star forward #36 Slava Chegrintcev. Slava leads the league with 38 points in 10 games. If he is able to keep this pace up, Slava is on pace to post 159 points through a 42 game season.
The Coyotes return home on Thursday, October 22nd to host the Oshawa Riverkings. Oshawa is one of the teams hot on the heels of the Coyotes for the division lead. The game should be a close, competitive game with a 7:30pm puck drop.
