COYOTES PICK UP VICTORY OVER ACES

The Alliston Coyotes played two games this past weekend, winning one over the Rama Aces and dropping one to the Bradford Rattlers. The scores were 9-2 and 4-1 respectively. Alliston is sitting middle of the pack with at 2-3-0 through the early part of the GMHL season.
The Alliston Coyotes picked up their 2nd straight victory 9-2 over Rama. The Aces opened the scoring late in the 1st period on a goal from Ty Watt. Alliston responded right after with two quick goals from Gordy Bonnel and Terrence Semple. Bonnel was the games 1st star scoring five goals and adding two assists. Captain Chris Brown had two goals and five assists. Bruno Novotny stopped 43 of 41 shots in the victory.
On Thursday (Sep. 26) the Coyotes played host to the defending Russell Cup Champion Bradford Rattlers. Nicolas Lachance got the start in goal turning away an impressive 55 shots, but it was not enough as Alliston dropped the match 4-1. The lone Coyotes goal was scored by Anuarbek Kulashbekov in the second period. It is also important to note the fourth Rattler goal was on an empty net.
Alliston will look to pull back to the .500 level with three games nect week. First is a road game against the Bracebridge Phantoms on Saturday (Sep. 28). Alliston will return home for their regular Thursday home game against the Seguin Huskies. Puck drop is 7:30PM at the New Tecumseth R.C. Come on out and show your support for the Coyotes!
