COYOTES DEFEAT BOBCAYGEON BUCKS

The Alliston Coyotes and Bobcaygeon Bucks battled on the ice yesterday (Oct. 18) evening. Alliston picked up the victory 7-3 final. The night before however, the Coyotes lost a close game against the Bracebridge Phantoms on home ice. Alliston is sitting at 12 points (6-6-0) through the first quarter of the season.
Wednesday hosting the Phantoms, Alliston lost 5-3. Gordy Bonnel had another three point evening with two goals and one assist against Bracebridge. Filip Sedivy had one goal and two points. Lachance and Obertas split the duties in goal.
Hungry to get back in the win column, Alliston hit the road to take on the Bobcaygeon Bucks. The Coyotes played their way to a convincing 7-3 victory. Alliston was actually playing the back with a short bench, missing the services of Ivan Tamaskovic. Denis Tsaruk got the victory in goal while Derek Van Ness had three assists on the evening. Balanced scoring from all parts of the lineup led to the victory.
The star duo of Gordy Bonnel and Christ Brown continue to turn heads from around the league. Bonnel scores the goals (20 goals) while Brown sets him up (25 assists). They are both among the top ten point getters in the GMHL.
Bonnel, Brown and the rest of the Alliston Coyotes will look ahead to next weeks set of games. First up is a home game Thursday (Oct. 24) against the Powassan Eagles, 7:30PM puck drop at the New Tec. Rec. Centre. This is followed by a game against the powerhouse Temiscaming Titans in Quebec on the Friday.
