The Alliston Coyotes are dominating the GMHL's Central Division, sitting first place in the league. Another strong victory over the Shelburne Sharks bummed the Coyotes record to a 7-1-0 record. The latest victory over the Sharks was 12-1 in favour of Alliston.
Star forward Nils Niklasson had five points in the match including a hat-trick and two assists to be named first star of the game. Chegrintcev had five points of his own with two goals and three assists.
Lukas Sadlon had the victory in goal making 16 saves. Scoring included: Niklasson (3), Chegrintcev (2), Ivanov (2), Russu, Way, Cunningham, Bonnel and Sury.
Through 8 games, the Chegrintcev is leading the team in scoring with 30 points, in addition to leading the entire GMHL.
Alliston will play the Grey County Grizzlies on Thursday, October 15th on home ice. Puck drop is 7:30pm.
