CHRIS BROWN NAMED CAPTAIN
Alliston, Ontario
September 9, 2013
The Alliston Coyotes have their man. New Tecumseth native Chris Brown has been named as the Alliston Coyotes first Captain in franchise history.
Coyotes coaching and management staff made the choice earlier this week and approached Brown with the opportunity.
Chris will proudly don the 'C' in Alliston's first game Thursday September 12th. Puck drop is 7:30pm at the New Tecumseth Rec. Centre in Alliston, Ontario.
Alliston Head Coach Joe Murphy (Stanley Cup Champion, Edmonton Oilers) tells us that Chris’s natural hockey instincts and presence on and off the ice made it an easy choice. “Chris has what it takes to lead this team” Joe says.
When asked about wearing the 'C' Chris simply says: “I am looking forward to the season, the new team and playing hard for my teammates”
