THREE COYOTES NAMED ALL-STARS
Alliston, Ontario
January 7, 2014
The Alliston Coyotes have had the honour of having three of our players recognized by the league and named to the 2014 GMHL All-Star Game. The game took place on Monday evening in Temiscaming, Quebec. Derek Van Ness, Anton Todykov and Chris Brown represented Alliston with class and dignity.
Chris Brown was one of the first players signed to the Coyotes and has the honour of being our first ever Captain. As a junior veteran, playing at the highest levels in the OHL, Brown has established himself as one of the elite players in the GMHL. His team leading 86 points (23g, 63a) in only 31 games is a major reason for Alliston's outstanding first season.
Derek Van Ness has proven himself to be one of the strongest defenceman in the league. His 66 points (22g, 44a) is a league leader from the blue-line and certainly a top d-man on the Coyotes'.
Anton Todykov is a fourth year GMHL veteran and a perennial All-Star that was acquired in a trade from the Shelburne Red Wings early in the season. He has started in 11 games with the Coyotes amassing a 8-3-0 record. His .921save% and 3.14GAA are amongst top in the league.
Congratulations to all of our players on their outstanding seasons and recognition by the league!
